Mobile Apps People Keep On The Home Screen

iOS, Android and cross-platform mobile app development for businesses in the US and UK — every screen drawn before it is built, every release shipped through the stores, and the analytics to tell you what people actually do inside.

How we approach mobile

A Phone Is Not A Small Desktop

Mobile punishes what the web forgives. A screen is held in one hand, on a patchy connection, for thirty seconds at a time — so a layout that merely shrinks, a flow that assumes signal, or a list that stutters while scrolling gets deleted rather than complained about.

So we start with the screens. Every state is drawn — empty, loading, error, offline, full — before anything is built, because those are the states people actually meet and the ones skipped when design stops at the happy path.

  • Every Screen, Every State

The full screen set is designed and reviewed as a flow before build starts, so nobody discovers the empty state in week six.

  • Sixty Frames Or It Is A Bug

Scrolling, transitions and gestures are held to a frame budget on a mid-range device, not the newest phone on the desk.

  • Works Without Signal

Local-first data and a sync layer, so the app stays usable on a train and reconciles cleanly when the connection returns.

  • Store-Ready From Day One

Privacy manifests, permissions, age ratings and review guidelines handled as we build, not discovered at submission.

What we build

Mobile App Development Services

From a first release that proves the idea to a mature app with releases every fortnight.

One Codebase, Both Stores

React Native or Flutter where the product suits it — one team, one codebase and two stores, with native modules dropped in wherever the platform genuinely matters.

  • Shared codebase across iOS and Android
  • Native modules where performance demands them
  • One release train for both stores
  • Roughly two-thirds the cost of two native builds

The Standards We Build Against

Numbers agreed before the build starts, and measured on real devices rather than a simulator.

  • 0

    Scroll & transition target

Held on a mid-range Android, not just the newest iPhone.

  • 0

    Cold start budget

From tap to usable screen, measured on real hardware.

  • 0

    Crash-free sessions (per 1000)

Monitored per release, with alerting on regressions.

  • 0

    Release cadence

A build in your hands every fortnight through TestFlight and Play internal testing.

How we work

From First Call To The Store

A structured route from idea to a listing people can download, with something on your phone throughout.

  1. 01

    Discovery & Flows

Who the app is for, what it must do on day one, and the flows that matter — agreed as a screen map before any design work.

  2. 02

    Screen Design

Every screen and every state drawn and clickable, reviewed on a real phone rather than as pictures on a laptop.

  3. 03

    Build & Test Flights

Two-week cycles, each ending with a build on your device through TestFlight and Play internal testing.

  4. 04

    Device & Store QA

Testing across a real device matrix, then privacy, permissions and review-guideline checks before submission.

  5. 05

    Launch & Iterate

Store submission handled end to end, then crash monitoring, analytics review and the next release.

FAQ

Mobile App Questions

Still unsure? Send us a note — we reply personally.

Retainers start at $6,500 a month for a focused first release in both stores. A deeper product with offline sync, payments and a backend sits in the middle tier, and native builds with hardware work above that. Most first releases run three to five months, so budget accordingly rather than per-screen.

Cross-platform for most products: one codebase, both stores, roughly two-thirds the cost. Native when the app leans on the hardware — heavy camera work, background location, complex graphics — or when you need platform APIs the moment they ship. We will tell you which yours is, including when the cheaper answer is the right one.

A focused first release is typically three to five months from kick-off, including store review. You will have a build on your own phone within the first two weeks, and every fortnight after that, so you are never waiting until the end to see it.

Yes, end to end — developer accounts, listings, screenshots, privacy manifests, age ratings and the review process itself, including responding to rejections. Store guidelines are handled as we build rather than discovered at submission.

Often, yes. We start with a short audit of the codebase, its dependencies and its release setup, then give you an honest read — sometimes the right answer is to continue it, and sometimes it is to rebuild the parts that will keep costing you. You get that assessment either way.

You do. The repository, the App Store Connect and Play Console accounts and the signing certificates are yours and stay in your name, documented at handover. There is no per-seat licence back to us and nothing that has to stay with us for the app to keep shipping.
